"Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

 Hello family and friends!!

Another amazing week here in Roanoke!

We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!!

Wednesday we exchanged back and I was with Sister Lofgreen again! We went out to try and get in co tact with some members who haven't been contacted in a while. We had just pulled up to one members home when a school bus pulled up and dropped off some kids. We waved at the bus driver! We were in a cul-de-sac so he turned the bus around and then pulled up next to us, open the bus doors and said "Have a nice day ladies!" It was such a small and simple act but it made Sister Lofgreen and I smile so big!!! It definitely made our day. It's the small and simple things for sure!!

Later that day we met up with the Martinsville 2 Sisters, Sister Stewart and Sister Pelltier, for exchanges!! I was with Sister Stewart in Martinsville!! It was a blast! She is such an incredible missionary!! We met with their friend Ella! What a sweet, happy lady! We discussed more about the Book of Mormon with her and where it came from and how it supports the Bible! It was a very Spirit led lesson! Also, Sister Stewart was originally assigned to serve in the Nauvoo Histroic Sites Mission! This is her last transfer here in the WVVM before she goes back to Nauvoo for the next six months! She told me all about it and the amazing experiences she's had there. What a cool mission to serve in!! On Sunday Sister Lofgreen and I drove down to Martinsville and watched a presentation she gave about Nauvoo to her ward! It was amazing!

Sister Lofgreen and I were reunited once again on Thursday!! We had a wonderful day together and accidently invited ourselves over to a members home for dinner, haha! We had looked at the elders calender instead of our own. Thankfully the members were so sweet and kind about it and didn't say anything to us!! What amazing people. Once we realized what we'd done we apologized over and over to them. It was funny!!

We had some great member lessons on Friday and Saturday! One was with Kiki! She was recently baptized! We had a cool discussion on the Spirit World and what happens after we die. We read Chapter 41 from the Gospel Principles Book and it answered a lot of our questions! Super cool!

Song of the Week: "Fill the World with Love" From Goodbye, Mr. Chips. What a beautiful song! I want to fill the world with love throughout my whole life. That is what the Savior did. He went about showing His love to everyone, no matter who they were or what they had done. We should all try to love like the Savior did! I love the scripture Mark 4:39 when the Savior says, "Peace, be still." He brings peace to our hearts and minds! When we show Christlike love to others we can bring peace to them. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. I know He lives. He is the source of true peace in this life.

Hope you all have a glorious week! Talk to y'all next Monday!

Love,
 Sister Sariah Francis
