"He Knows" - Joseph Smith-History 1:16-17 - January 16, 2023

 I love testifying of Jesus Christ.


Our friend Dotty dropped us. It was so sad! But then! The Lord blessed us woth so many miracles! We were knocking and met Adriana! She is so amazing! She had some questions about prayer and receiving answers that we were able to answer for her!! It was awesome! The Lord truly puts people into our paths for us to help!

Wednesday to Thursday we had exchanges with the Morgantown Sisters! I was with Sister Morales in Mo-Town!! It was sooo much fun to be companions again! We had a wonderful day knocking and getting doors slammed in our faces. We had some hard rejections but then we got to talk to a nice lady who had her dogs baptized! I have never heard of people baptizing their animals but I guess it happens! 

We exchanged back and then drove to Clarksburg to attend their district council and have exchanges with the Sisters! It was great! I was with Sister Johnson here in Fairmont! She is sooo fun!! We were knocking and met this cool guy from Egpyt! He read us some scriptures in Arabic which was so amazing! At one point he said it's cool to think that to us Arabic writing just looks like beautiful art but to him it looks like words and sounds. Languages are so cool!! Later that evening we met with Donald and Ashley!! Donald came to church!! It was awesome!

Friday we visited the Mapels!! It was snowing which made it exciting driving out on those roads! We made it safely, though, and had a wonderful visit and lesson with them. The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly changes people. Randy always tells us how he loves coming to this church because it encourages us to learn and grow. He didn't feel that that happened in previous churches he attended. What he says is so true. This is a Gospel of growth. We are encouraged to ask questions, seek answers from good sources and grow our testimonies. I love it!!

Later that day we had a lesson with Bill!! It has been sooo long since we've met with him! He's doing good. We reviewed the Ten Commandments with him and had a fun conversation. 

We met with David on Sunday!! Well, it was kinda an intense lesson. Bishop Drennen joined us and so did Brother and Sister Cox. Sister Nelson and I were a little unsure of how it all would go. We decided to just follow the Spirit!! Well, Bishop Drennen talked to David for a little bit and Brother Cox would chim in every couple minutes. Finally, th conversation was dying down and I knew it was time to say something. I opened my mouth and the Lord truly put the words there that needed to be said. It was amazing. I know the Lord is watching over us. He is guiding us and directing our words and actions. After David's lesson we met two new friends while knocking!! We taught Chris the Plan of Salvation and then we taught Andrew the Restoration. 

Song of the Week: "He Knows" by Michael R. Hicks. I love this song so much!! I probably say that every week but it's also true every week!! This song has come to mean a lot to me these past couple weeks. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I am here in West Virginia sharing those truths with those who will listen. I am sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ!! The scripture is the account Joseph Smith gives of when Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Him as Two separate and distinct beings. They called him by name. I know this event happened as Joseph said it did. I may not have been there but the Holy Ghsot has testified to my heart and mind that this is true. Truth comes from God. I know these things are true and I know that God knows, too.

 Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. We messaged David, not really thinking about him coming to church even though we were trying to invite lots of people. We asked how he had been and he said he had been feeling a little down the past few days. "Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

  Hello family and friends!!  Another amazing week here in Roanoke! We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!! "Born on Christmas Day" - November 29, 2021

 Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered!
