"I Believe in Christ" - 1 Timothy 4:12 - February 27, 2023

 Good morning!!! Welcome to another week!


It was absolutely amazing! So many Spirit filled meetings! Last Monday we had a quick MLC meeting with Elder and Sister Bassett! We drove the three hours to Charleston, had the two hour meeting and drove back home! It was wonderful.

The next day we had a mission wide meeting, in person and over zoom, with The Bassett's. Again, so so good!! We discussed President Nelson's talk from this past general conference. It was awesome! The Spirit was so strong as we all talked and discussed together about overcoming the world. It's not an easy task but as we yoke ourselves to the Savior, just as Matthew 11:28-30 talks about, then the load becomes easier. It doesn't go away but it becomes easier!! We are working with Christ at our side!

On Wednesday all three southern zones met at the Roanoke Stake Center for an in person Tri-Zone Conference with Elder and Sister Bassett!! Again, absolutely amazing!! We discussed how the Book of Mormon and Holy Ghost are our greatest tools in missionary work and helping others become converted to the Lord. After some lunch we talked about desires. If we desire to baptize people our efforts will show for it! It was definitely something I needed to hear. Sometimes I get distracted thinking about random things but keeping my focus on my purpose and then putting forth the effort will help in accomplishing this work for the Lord. 

Thursday we met Dennis!! He is sooo cool! He was working on his truck when we started up a conversation with him! He described some health issues he is going through. We boldly testified that if he would listen to our message his pain would be eased. We also testified of the reality of living, modern day prophets and Apostles, just as there are in the Bible. They live today, too!! It was an amazing experience and we are excited to keep working with him! Please keep him in your prayers!

We had exchanges with the Cotton Hill sisters! I was with Sister Lenhart in Roanoke!! We had a day full of some amazing lessons! We talked with a referral named Danielle! We have a lesson set up for this Tuesday and we are super excited for her!!

We also put our friend Colleen on date for baptism! Her date is March 25th! She is such a sweet girl. Her parents are both members and she has a desire to be baptized if just hasn't happened yet! So we are helping her along. 

Our friend Courtney came to church on Sunday!! It was so cool! We messaged her late Saturday night not thinking to much about it. About 5 minutes later she messaged back and said she would need a ride. We were so excited!! We found her a ride and gave her a huge hug when we saw her on Sunday!! So many exciting things happening here in Roanoke!

Song of the Week: "I Believe in Christ" Hymn 134. This song is so beautiful! I believe in Christ. It's that simple. I do! I know He lives and loves me. 1 Timothy 4:12 has become one of my favorite scriptures! We must be examples to those around us of someone who believes in Christ. We must uphold our standards and be who we know we should be, an example of Christ.

 Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. We messaged David, not really thinking about him coming to church even though we were trying to invite lots of people. "Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

  Hello family and friends!!  Another amazing week here in Roanoke! We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!! "Born on Christmas Day" - November 29, 2021

 Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered!
