"I Know that My Savior Loves Me" - October 17, 2022

 Hello hello family and friends!!

Let's get started!

We had zone conference this week!! It was an absolute blast! There are so many amazing elders and sisters in this zone!! We were taught by President and Sister Lindahl! They discussed being committed to our cause as missionaries and bearing testimony always! It was very powerful listening to them. I'm so very grateful to have them as my mission leaders at this time. They have truly changed me for thr better with their Christlike examples of service. After President and Sister Lindahls teaching we had breakout rooms! There were four rooms and the zone leadership was incharge of them! I was break out room one. We discussed The Book of Mormon being the keystone of our religion, Jesus Christ being our cornerstone and the Family being central to God's plan for us! It was awesome and I think it went really well. Sister Livingston had also helped me come up with a little jeopardy game to play! It was a lot of fun and I'm so very grateful for this opportunity I had to share some of my thoughts with the other elders and sisters in the zone! So wonderful!! Recently, they built a Crumble up in Morgantown! Well, it's run by members so they came to zone conference and brought us cookies! They were very delicious!! The Clarksburg Zone is the place to be!!!

We met with Donald and Ashley! They are doing great!! Before the lesson started, Ashley asked us what our purpose as missionaries was, what exactly do we do. We stated our purpose, helping people come closer to Jesus Christ, and testified of the message we share. It was awesome! We then went into our lesson! We talked about repentance and the importance of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our lives. The Spirit was very strong as we testified! We invited Donald to read Alma 36! Ashley said she wouldn't do it but would ask Donald what the chapter was about. After extending our invitation, Donald brought up baptism!! It was crazy! However, we were already late for our next appointment so he said he'd wait and ask his questions next time we meet! Everyone, please keep this family in your prayers! Sister Livingston and I have been witnesses to the power the Holy Ghost has in softening men's hearts as we've continued to meet with Ashley and Donald. They have come so far! Donald also told us that he still has his own beliefs about attending church but then he said he would be coming again on his next Sunday off!!! It was incredible!!

Later that evening we met with John! We met with him and the Sollars at the church! We discussed the Plan of Salvation with him. During the whole lesson he didn't seem to engaged but at the end he really opened up to us! He told us a little about his life and some things that had been going on. He had been thinking of getting back into church when Sister Livingston and I had knocked on his door! As he spoke the Holy Ghost settled over all of us. When he finished, I opened my mouth and bore my testimony and invited him to he baptized on December 7th! He accepted the invitation!! Brother and Sister Sollars bore their testimonies. It was a wonderful, Spirit led lesson.

We met with Ronda and Katie on Wednesday! Thy watched some of General Conference!! It was super exciting!! Ronda also told us that while listening to the prophet speak a question she had had was answered!! Wow!! I know that we will find answers to our questions when we prayerfully ask the Lord for guidance and direction! General Conference is a great time to receive those answers from the Lord!! We invited them to pray about President Nelson being God's prophet on the earth today and Ronda immediately said she already knew he was. It was so cool! They have strong faith! We love meeting with them and are excited to help them continue progressing.

We had a great lesson with Joyce an Randy! They have almost been baptized for a year so they will soon have the opportunity to go to the temple, receive their endowments and be sealed for time and all eternity! We are so excited for them! We began going over the Gospel Principles Book found the the Gospel Library app! Chapter one is about our Father in Heaven. It was amazing discussing the questions with them and looking up the different scriptures. I know we have a loving Heavenly Father. He knows each of us, individually, and loves us all. One scripture that really stuck out to me was Mormon 9:15, "And now, O all ye that have imagined up unto yourselves a god who can do no miracles, I would ask of you, have all these things passed, of which I have spoken? Has the end come yet? Behold I say unto you, Nay; and God has not ceased to be a God of miracles." I know that God is a God of miracles! He hasn't stopped! The end is not yet! I'm grateful to know this truth.

Saturday was so cool! We stopped by some members and had great lessons with them. Later that evening we had a couple more people to stop by before heading home. We chose to stop by a couple from the ward that neither Sister Livingston or I had met. We pulled into their driveway and knocked on their door. A very happy and jolly grandpa opened the door and immediately let us in! His wife came out a few minutes later and just started talking and talking! They were sooo happy to see us! She took us on a food tour of her kitchen and said we could eat anything we wanted, haha! They were so very kind! We learned about the wife's conversion story and shared Mosiah 18. It was awesome! Also, the Grandpa was watching football and right before leaving Clemson started playing against Florida! There's a little shoutout to my brother currently getting his masters at Clemson!!

Attending church yesterday was so wonderful! Some of the less active members that Sister Livingston and I have been visiting, came! It was so awesome! I love going to church and seeing everyone there! It's amazing! We also had a lesson with Bill! We met him at his work! He's a security guard at a warehouse. The Coxes came and it was so good! We shared the beginning of the Plan of Salvation! Please pray for Bill!

Song of the Week: "I Know that My Savior Loves Me" LDS Children's Song. This is one of my most favorite songs! I sang it with my cousins when I was baptized! It brings me peace knowing that Jesus Christ is always there. We had interviews this week with President Lindahl. In my interview with him we talked about repentance and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Knowing that Jesus Christ felt everything I feel and that He did it because He loves me just amazes me!! It's all so powerful. I may never fully understand it but I can move forward with what I do know and continue to build my understanding. I know Jesus loves us all, as does Heavenly Father. They are always there for us and provide us with the Holy Ghost because They can't personally be here right now. I look forward with hope for when I will see my Savior again!

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Talk to y'all next Monday!

Love,
 Sister Sariah Francis
