Sister Sariah Faith

 EVERYONE! Katie was baptized on Saturday! It was absolutely beautiful. The Spirit was so strong! She asked me to give a short talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost. It was fun to share some of my thoughts on having the Spirit as your constant guide! She was confirmed on Sunday! Again, the Spirit was there. I have loved the opportunity to help her along this path back to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know They are proud of her.  We had Zone Conference on Tuesday! It was amazing! President and Sister Lindahl are seriously the best. They tried something new this transfer! We did some break out rooms and it was so much fun! We were able to do some role plays and practice our teaching skills! Sister Holt and I did pretty good! I'm so grateful we are companions!!!!   EVERYONE! Hello!  I'm excited to tell you all about this past week! We were out tracting on Tuesday, enjoying the nice weather, when huge black storm clouds began moving in! We decided we would be find for the next little bit so we kept going. After a few more houses a few rain drops began to fall. We knocked one more house but as we were talking to the lady the rain fell harder and heavier! The lady we were talking to told us she wasn't interested, so we zipped up our bags and walked out into the rain! We had both forgotten umbrellas so within a few minutes we were SOAKED! All the way through, haha! It was quite a fun experience! We ended up just walking home because of how wet we were but we laughed the whole way there! We've had some great success with Facebook this week! I've never been very good at it but Sister Holt is! She helped me a lot this week!   Hey everyone! It was a bittersweet week here in Beckley. We started another transfer! But, I had to say goodbye to Sister Spaeth and Sister Wilkins. It was so sad!! I miss them so much but they are on to the next great adventure in their lives! They are both home with their families! My new companion is Sister Holt!! She is absolutely amazing!! We have already had a lot of fun, laughing and working hard together! We had a great lesson with Katie on Wednesday! We talked about tithing and fast offerings with her! She is so amazing! She wanted to know when she could start! For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, tithing is 10% of our increase. We don't pay anyone in the church, it is all volunteer work! We believe the 10% we pay is the Lord's money. It goes to the church to help pay for meetinghouses, temples, copies of the Book of Mormon, and anything else the church may need!  Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July!!! I realized I haven't updated you all on Katie! She is doing AMAZING! We had a really good lesson with her on Tuesday. We went over and had lunch. Our lesson was going great! But, then Katie began asking questions. Don't worry! This was a good thing!! We ended up going very in depth with the Plan of Salvation, temples and Eternal Marriage. It was so wonderful! She talks with her boyfriend about the church, a lot. So then, when we meet with her, she tells US things instead of the other way around! She is sooo excited for her baptism! It's July 23rd!! Katie also came to church yesterday and almost bore her testimony! After church the elders in our ward had a baptism so she stayed and watched!! I love Katie so much and she is so ready for this change in her life! Please keep praying for her! We met with Melissa on Wednesday.
