"He Walked a Mile in My Shoes" - June 13, 2022
Hey everyone!
It has been a wild week here! Lots of little blessings each day! I've also learned a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Tuesday was Zone Conference!!! It was President and Sister Newman's last one. They leave on June 30. But, then we get to meet the new Mission President and his wife! It will be both sad and exciting!!! Zone Conference was amazing!! We learned about enduring to the end. It doesn't mean just making it through, it means finding joy as we come closer to Christ! It's a happy thing!! We learned about sea turtles and how they relate to enduring to the end. It was cool! Also, it was a tri-zone conference! So I got to see most of my past companions and so many missionaries that I know!! It was wonderful!!
Melissa, Krista and Katie, our three friends on date, are all doing ok. We haven't been able to meet with them this week due to various reasons but please keep them all in your prayers this week!!
Friday and Saturday were so much fun!! We had exchanges! I went up to Charleston with Sister Evans! She is absolutely amazing!!! I am so grateful I get to serve around her! We had a busy day of lessons with members and friends. It is so cool to see how there are so many people around the world who have come to know of the truthfulness of the gospel!! Every story is different but it all leads to the same conclusion, that this is the True and Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Song of the Week: "He Walked a Mile in My Shoes" by Nashville Tribute Band. The theme of this week has been the Savior's Atonement. So many little things this week have pointed me back to His suffering for me in the Garden of Gethsemane. He truly does know me perfectly. Only through The Atonement of Jesus Christ can we live with Him and Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful Jesus Christ willingly gave Himself for us. He loved us so much. What an amazing gift!! He did walk a mile in each of our shoes and because of that He can help us with anything!! I love my Savior Jesus Christ so much and I am so glad I get to share it with the people here in my mission!
I hope everyone has an amazing week! Talk to y'all next Monday!
