"Choose Joy" - June 8, 2022

 Hello, hello, family and friends!

It was a week of joy here in Beckley, WV! Just so many miracles each day!

First, we met with Katie and her boyfriend last Monday at iHop! We taught a lesson on the importance of our baptismal covenants and what it all means. We then set a date for Katie!!!! She is going to be baptized on July 23rd! We are so excited for her!!!! We asked her why she wanted to be baptized and she talked about how different things had continued to happen that seemed to point her more and more to God. She could see how He was working in her life! She is so ready and so prepared! Please keep her in your prayers this week!

The next miracle we had was our lesson with Krista and Melissa! We did a similar lesson to Katie's. We talked about baptism and then set a date for both of them to be baptized!! Krista and Melissa will be baptized on June 25th! This is so exciting!!! Sister Spaeth asked them to share why they wanted to be and Krista talked about being ready to change her life and have God in it more. Melissa talked about how she believed the things we had taught her. It was so amazing and so wonderful!!! Please also pray for Krista and Melissa! They also came to church this Sunday!! It was wonderful to have them!

We had another miracle getting in contact with some of our other friends! We had a lesson with Keishod on Sunday! He's been cancelling on us for the past 2-3 weeks! But it was a great lesson. We talked about the Divine Mission of Jesus Christ and how His Gospel is taught all throughout the Book of Mormon. Keishod talked about how he was excited to keep reading from The Book because he hadn't realized all the cool things that are in it! We are excited for him!

Song of the Week: "Choose Joy" by Scott Krippayne. Jesus Christ is where we find true joy in life. When we follow Him and abide by His teachings we feel joy! He is the only way back to our Heavenly Father! So, be joyful! Use His Atonement each day, with joy. Give to others as He did, with joy. Work, with joy. It makes life so much better! Choose joy, choose Jesus Christ. See the difference it makes in your life! And let me know what happens!

 Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. We messaged David, not really thinking about him coming to church even though we were trying to invite lots of people. "Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

  Hello family and friends!!  Another amazing week here in Roanoke! We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!! "Born on Christmas Day" - November 29, 2021

 Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered!
