Sister Sariah Faith

  Oh, hello, hello, everyone! It was quite a lovely week here in Beckley! We have three new friends that we are teaching! Teresa is a very sweet lady. We stopped by her home about a week and a half ago. It wasn't a good time to meet but we scheduled a time to come back! On Monday we stopped by and shared part of the Restoration and part of the Plan of Salvation lessons with her! It was so wonderful. As she answered the questions we asked her she began to cry. We know she was feeling the Spirit. We asked her to pray about what we had taught, to find out for herself if it's true. She prayed right then and there! She accepted a copy of the Book of Mormon. We are going by again today to have another lesson! Melissa is so amazing! She was sorta taught previously by missionaries but they lost contact because the phone number for her wasn't the right one!   Happy Easter, everyone!! Jesus Christ lives! So many great things this week!! Tuesday and Wednesday were filled with visiting members so Sister Smith could say goodbye to them. It was sad!! Although, we did go down to Odd, West Virginia! Yes, it really is called that. And there's a road there called Devils Backbone Road. Theres some crazy things here, haha!! While we were there Google Maps started taking us down a very small and sketchy 4 wheeler track/road. We thought it might turn out ok so we kept driving. There were these huge, overgrown thorny bushes on both sides of the car! Eventually we decided the road wasn't going to get better... it was just going to get worse. So, we turned around and found a different way to the place we were trying to go! We were scared the car was going to be all scratched up from driving past all the thorny bushes but it's all good!!  Hello Family and Friends!! It was quite a lovely week here in Beckley!  First, we have transfers this week and I will be staying in Beckley! Sister Smith will be leaving, sadly, but I am getting two more companions! Sister Smith has been an absolutely amazing person to serve with and I am extremely sad to see her go, but the Lord has more in store for her! She will do amazing in her new area! Guess what?! Our friend Andrew has his baptismal interview on Thursday!! Sister Smith and I are very excited for him! Also, I realize I haven't been good about keeping everyone updated on our friends here in West Virginia. So, let me tell you about Andrew! He was previously taught by missionaries but lost contact for sometime with them. But a few months ago he called up the missionaries in a different area and asked to be taught again!  Oh, what a glorious week!! And one of the best parts was hearing from our latter-day Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson!!! So, last Monday was District P-day! We hiked a beautiful overlook to the New River Gorge Bridge! It was absolutely wonderful! We had a fun time as a district, laughing and talking. Sister Smith and I talked with Elder Allred, a lot. It was great getting to know him more. So many cool things to do and be in the world!! I'm so glad we are all created differently, with different talents, interests and likes. If we were all the same this world would be a sad place to be! After the hike we went to Tudor's Biscuit World! If any of you ever come our to WV you MUST go there! Their biscuits are delicious!!! Misty is doing ok. She is going through a hard time and definitely needs prayers. Please keep her in your hearts this week!
