"This is the Christ" - March 28, 2022

 What a week here in West Virginia!

On Tuesday we met Jessica! She is a sweet, young mom who invited us right in! We talked to her about the Book of Mormon and she accepted a copy!! It was so amazing!! We are going back this Wednesday!! We also met Marissa! She is also a young mom! We talked with her about the Book of Mormon as well and she accepted a copy!! But!! Marissa is friends with a family in the ward, which is so amazing! She said she was a little curious about what they believed, so we are excited to talk more with her!! We will be meeting with her on Wednesday, too!!

Misty is doing good! We were not able to meet with her this week because her phone wasn't working. We stopped by yesterday to see if she was home but she wasn't. Although! Her friend Eric was there and we were able to talk with him for a little bit! He has a desire to know God but he doesn't think he does, so Sister Smith and I are slowly helping him find that desire!! It is incredible to see how people can change. But, it's not because of us. We work through the Holy Ghost who works through Heavenly Father! We are simply just instruments in Heavenly Father's hands! Oh, I love being a missionary!!

So, guess what everyone!! My mom and sister came to visit my family in Utah! Which means we are in the same country!!!! It is so crazy and cool! It is hard being away from my family. I miss them so much! But also, I have sacrificed time with them so that others can be with their families for forever. As members of the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we believe that families can last for eternity! They must be sealed together by the Priesthood Power in the Temple. Even though it's hard being away from my family, I'm grateful I can be helping other families!! Also, for those that live close too or near Maryland, the Washington D. C. Temple open house is happening soon!! You will be able to go inside one of our churches temples and see what they are like on the inside! Tickets are free and I would highly encourage you to go of you are able too!!

Song of the Week: "This is the Christ" as sung by the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. This song is so beautiful. I've thought a lot about Christ's sacrifice for us this week. He suffered for us and died for us, but the most amazing part of it is the fact that He then lived again!!! Christ is Living!! And because He lives, we will all live again one day! All who have died will live again, all who live now will live again and all who have yet to live will also live again!!! What a wonderful miracle! Death is not the end because Christ conquered it when He left the tomb after three days. I'm so grateful for my Savior and for all He has done for me.  I know He lives!

 Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. "Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

  Hello family and friends!!  Another amazing week here in Roanoke! We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!! "Born on Christmas Day" - November 29, 2021

 Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered!
