"What Matters Most" - Monday, February 7, 2022

 Hello everyone! What a week!

This week we had Zone Conference!!! And guess what?! My companions and I got to help teach with the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders!!! It was soooo much fun!! The focus was on Social Media! Well, we are the social media leaders for our zone so they asked us to help! We gave some great tips and ideas of how to effectively Facebook Find and how to be an effective Facebook Poster! It was so much fun!! (If a missionary ever friends you on Facebook you should friend them back!!!) I also got to help out with the musical number! The sisters in Gallipolis, Ohio needed another sister to sing with them! We sang the EFY Theme "As Sisters in Zion/We'll Bring the World His Truth." A group of four elders sang the mens part. Then the whole zone sang when it got to where the sisters and elders sing together! It was so powerful! I love that song!!!

Sister Morales started having some covid symptoms so we self quarantined from Thursday to this morning. Sister Humphries got it next and then I had it!! It definitely made the rest of the week hard because we had to be inside. We took walks and got lots of rest! It's hard being sick on a mission though because then you aren't able to work and bring others closer to Christ. We were able to have some success with Facebook Finding though! Sister Humphries was able to share the message of the Restoration with two of her new Facebook friends! It was sooo cool! Even when we are limited in what we can do the Lord still blesses us to have success! We just have to show Him we are trying our best!

One thing I am grateful for is that we have zoom church. Our ward here in Barboursville still has that option! Because of this my companions and I were able to still watch Sacrament Meeting and listen to the beautiful testimonies that were shared. I needed to hear some of the things that were said and I know that being able to watch it over zoom was a huge blessing.

Song of the Week: "What Matters Most" Abe Kaelin EFY 2016. This was a song recommendation from my sister. It definitely describes this week perfectly. As a missionary the thing that matters most is that we follow the Spirit with everything, know that God will lead us to where we need to be, love all those we meet and help others come closer to Christ. I love how the songs stats,
"Every day we have a choice
to listen for the Still Small Voice."
This describes missionary work! Every day we can either choose to follow the Holy Ghost and move the Lords work forward, or we can not do anything. We can choose to put effort in or we can just mechanically go through the motions. It's not always easy to trust but it is always worth it. Miracles can happen through following the promptings of the Spirit.

Have a wonderful week! Talk to y'all next Monday!!!

Pictures!!!
We found this at the food bank and it was pretty epic!!!

Ok. Hear me out on this picture. If you look closely you can see the flight path of a plane high up in the sky that turned, changing its course to go more northest-ish. I thought it was pretty cool!
