If You Believe - Monday January 3, 2022


Happy 2022, family and friends!

It has been an absolutely amazing week here in the WVCM! 
One of the biggest miracles that happened this week was setting a date for Baptism for Linda!!! It was absolutely amazing! Sister Hope, from the ward, came and bore a beautiful testimony on the power of baptism by priesthood authority! The Spirit was strong and I know Linda could feel it. Her date is set for February 1st! Everyone please please pray for her! We still need to teach her a few more lessons and she needs to keep the Word of Wisdom. We know that miracles happen and that through our efforts, her faith and the Lords help she can take this important step in her life!
On Thursday we had exchanges! I stayed here in Barboursville and Sister Johansen came! She is absolutely wonderful! We did our studies and then had a wonderful talk. She gave me some amazing advice on training and helped me see how it will all be ok! We then went out to visit some of our friends and members in the ward. We had another lesson with our friend Dave! We tracted into him a few weeks ago and have been messaging with him and stopping by every few days. The first time we met him we gave him a Book of Mormon! Well, Sister Johansen and I went to visit him and asked if he had read any of it yet. He hadn't so we read 1 Nephi 1 with him! He seemed to really enjoy it! We gave him a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to read for the next time we stop by. Please keep Dave in your prayers! 

We were also able to have a wonderful lesson with a sweet lady in the ward. Her name is Sister Dillon! We have been trying to get in contact with her for about a month and when we stopped by this time she was home! It was a miracle! She is so much fun to talk with and has awesome stories to tell! I love her so much!
Friday night was New Years Eve! We had to be home in our apartments by 8. It was a fun night! The Custers came by and brought us some treats and then a little later the West's came by and brought us pizza! It was so much fun! We had a mini party with Martinelli's and watching the Chosen! And yes, we stayed up till midnight! Although, as soon as the clock turned we all went to bed. It was a very Happy New Year!



Song of the Week: "If You Believe" 2021 Youth Album. This song is the best! It describes this week pretty perfectly! The beginning was hard and our hopes were a little down. But we kept pushing forward and it led to Linda being put on date and some amazing lessons with friends! I know that if we continue to believe in what we know to be true the Lord can work miracles in our lives. We can see blessings everyday as long as we believe.

 Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. We messaged David, not really thinking about him coming to church even though we were trying to invite lots of people. "Fill the World with Love" - Mark 4:39 - March 6, 2023

  Hello family and friends!!  Another amazing week here in Roanoke! We had exchanges with Martinsville 1, Sister Brown and Sister Judson, from Tuesday-Wednesday! I was with Sister Brown in Martinsville! So many cool miracles! We met a lady who knows some members in the Roanoke ward! That was pretty cool! She said we could stop by anytime! Later that day we had an amazing lesson with a part member family! We shared the message of the Restoration and at the end invited the dad to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong!! He said no because he just isn't ready yet. The Sisters in Martinsville will co tinue helping him prepare!! Last week the Sisters had invited the family to day family prayer each day. We got to listen as they told us about how doing such a simple act changed each day and ultimately the week!! Prayer has power!! Good things are happening in the Sisters area!! "Born on Christmas Day" - November 29, 2021

 Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered!
