"I Know He Lives" - December 13, 2021

Well, hello everyone! Another week already come and gone.

What a week of Miracles!
Tuesday and Wednesday were very bittersweet days. We visited a lot of members so Sister George could say goodbye to them. We also had an early Christmas! I am going to miss her so much! She has been an amazing trainer! I learned so much from her! I love you, Sister George!
We had transfers on Thursday! At 9:30 we drove to the Charleston church building and dropped off Sister George. But! We picked up Sister Morales and Sister Humphries! They are both so amazing! Sister Humphries has been out for 5 months and has such a strong desire to do the work! I have loved serving with her these past 3 days and am so excited to see what we can accomplish this transfer! Sister Morales is new! She came from the MTC! She has a strong desire to do the work but feels bad that she doesn't know it all yet. Each day I do a roleplay with her to help her learn and understand more! She has already made so much progress!!
So, time for the miracles! Thursday, after the new sisters unpacked, we went tracking! We met a really sweet lady named Naomi! She invited us in and told us about her son who had passed away a few years ago. We were able to share about the Spirit World with her and that God is our loving Heavenly Father. We shared about how this Gospel can bless individuals and families! She already had a copy of the Book of Mormon and we invited her to read it! We set up a time to come back on Sunday. When we went over, though, she said they were in quarantine. So, in about 10 days we will probably go back and visit her!
The next miracle is that on Friday we had a lesson with Jamie! She is a member referral from a lady in the ward. We have been messaging with her for about a month and were able to set up a time to teach her! We shared the Restoration with her and she accepted a copy of the Book or Mormon! We have a lesson set up for this week! Jamie is so kind! It was so good to meet her in person! Please pray for her!
We had a Facebook Miracle! Friday night we were sitting around the kitchen table doing some Facebook Moderating. Sister Humphries was messaging with a sweet lady named Karen. Karen had messaged the Zone Page after responding to a church ad about prayer. She told a story of how she had prayed and ask God for an answer. She recieved the answer she wanted but is know wondering if it was just a coincidence or if it was an answer from God. We asked if we could call and pray with her and she initially said no but then sent us her phone number! So, we called! We prayed with her that she would be able to have faith in the answers she recieves. We then set up a time to meet with her on Saturday! When we called Saturday we taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She seemed to understand what we taught and agreed to do a video call this Tuesday! It was so amazing!!!
David is doing well. He came to the ward Christmas party! He loves coming to church and you can see a change in him! We met with him this week and re-evaluated his baptismal date. It will now be in February. He is still struggling to keep some commitments but we know that through faith and prayers he can understand why he needs to keep them!
Song of the Week: "Risen" by Shawna Edwards. I have been thinking a lot about Jesus Christ this week and how He was born in a stable so many thousand years ago. He came to the earth to show us how to live, to share His light and, most importantly, suffer for our sins so we could become clean again. I saw a video of my cousins singing this song and it reminded me of how much my Savior has done for me and for everyone. He did it all and rose again the third day. What a gift to give!
Have a lovely week! Talk to y'all next Monday!
