Sister Sariah Faith

 Everybody!!!! Oh it was a lovely week!! We had tri-zone conference part 2 this past Tuesday! It was wonderful!! We taught a break out room with the Zone Leaders. We were assigned to talk about Nephi building a ship and how we can exercise faith like he did. President and Sister Lindahl talked about diligence. Sister Lindahl said that when we are diligent our joy in the work increases (paraphrased). That is so true!! When we are obedient and do our very best we find joy!! Being diligent in our efforts is the thing to do! It will bring forever joy. I know I'm not perfect, I'm far from being a perfect missionary but that doesn't mean I can't be diligent and do my best. The Savior will make up the difference, how ever much it may be. The coolest thing happened on Wednesday!! A member from the ward, Sistet Etzi, always wanted to serve a mission but had joined the church after she had passed the age requirement. So, on Wednesday she came knocking with us!!   I love testifying of Jesus Christ. Our friend Dotty dropped us. It was so sad! But then! The Lord blessed us woth so many miracles! We were knocking and met Adriana! She is so amazing! She had some questions about prayer and receiving answers that we were able to answer for her!! It was awesome! The Lord truly puts people into our paths for us to help! Wednesday to Thursday we had exchanges with the Morgantown Sisters! I was with Sister Morales in Mo-Town!! It was sooo much fun to be companions again! We had a wonderful day knocking and getting doors slammed in our faces. We had some hard rejections but then we got to talk to a nice lady who had her dogs baptized! I have never heard of people baptizing their animals but I guess it happens!  We exchanged back and then drove to Clarksburg to attend their district council and have exchanges with the Sisters!  Hello hello, everyone!! It has been a great week here in Fairmont!! MARY IS ON DATE FOR BAPTISM!!! Sister Nelson and I are so excited for her!! We had to stay inside Tuesday and Wednesday because I'd been sick and we had to quarantine, even though it wasn't covid but it's ok! We were supposed to meet with Mary on Tuesday. We decided to try and meet over the phone! It was wonderful! We read 2 Nephi 31 with her and then asked if she would be baptized. She said yes! February 4 is the day! Mary is absolutely amazing! The Lord truly led us to her. She loves the gospel message and is excited to be baptized!  Thursday we were finally able to get back out!! It was glorious!! We tried stopping by a couple people but no one was home or interested in talking to us. So, we went knocking. Wow. I think it may have been the hardest day of knocking my whole mission.  Happy 2023, everyone!!! Wow, all of 2022 was spent serving the Lord, pretty incredible!!  We met with Donald and Ashley last week. It was awesome! We reviewed the 10 commandments and talked about the Law of Chastity. I haven't taught that lesson very much on my mission but overall it was great! Donald and Ashley are so amazing!  We have started teaching Debbie! We met Debbie a while back while knocking. She said to come back later and we did! Although, the next time we went by she was asleep so we tried again and we were able to teach her! Due to some events that have happened in her life we taught her the Plan of Salvation. She had some different insights about it all but mostly agreed woth us. We invited her to pray and ask God if it was true and she said she would! We are going back this week!!
