Oh hello wonderful family and friends! Welcome to another week in the life of a missionary here in Barboursville, West Virginia. This week was full of cold weather, tracting and miracles! Let's jump in! The most amazing thing happened on Saturday night! We were inviting as many people as we could to attend church with us the next day. We messaged David, not really thinking about him coming to church even though we were trying to invite lots of people. We asked how he had been and he said he had been feeling a little down the past few days. We asked how we could help and he said we couldn't really do anything BUT he would be coming to church the next day!!! It was amazing!! By his own free will he said he would come to church!!! It was the best!!! Sunday morning we showed up to church and David was there!!! I know Heavenly Father sees each of us and He knows our needs. He is so good! (I also got to lead the music for Sacrament Meeting!! I loved it!!) We had many member meals th...

Everyone!!! You will never believe what happened this week! It was full of ups and downs but also, so many miracles!!! First!!! Guess who came to the 2nd hour of church yesterday?! DAVID! Yes!! He was there, in the flesh! It was him!!! He attended Elders Quorum with the Elders and then afterward came and found us! He apologized for what his girlfriend had said to us and explained it was not how he felt. He also talked about how one of his house plants had died and he felt it was because we had stopped coming by. We are going to be messaging with him and sending scriptures! He is not quite ready to meet to have a lesson but we will work toward that!! Oh my goodness, everyone! It was such a miracle! I know that Heavenly Father knows David and He is helping him find his way. Keep him in your prayers!!! We had a lesson with Starr on Tuesday! She had read the first part of the Restoration pamphlet we had given her and talked about how the foundation of each different church is always t...

Oh what a week!  Wednesday was a very exciting day! We were supposed to have interviews with President Newman at 1:20. At 10 am the Zone Leaders called and asked if we could be early to interviews. We said ya, we could be there at 1 pm. And they said no, could you be to interviews in 15 minutes! We said yes and frantically grabbed our things and ran out the door! President wanted to do interviews back to back, as quickly as possible. When we arrived at the church building Sister Newman and other missionaries in the zone were there! We were expecting interviews to be super quick but ended up sitting there for 2 hours talking! It was honestly the best! Sister Newman asked us what we thought true joy was. It was a very interesting conversation! Around 12:30 my comps and I were the last ones who needed interviews. President and Sister Newman asked if we would first like to go get lunch with them! It was the best!!! We went to Fat Patty's and had a lovely lunch with them! Af...

Hello everyone! What a week! We had a lot of ups and downs. But hey! The church is still true and Heavenly Father still lives! We began the week with district p-day! Our district is us, the HU 2 Elders (Elder Oilar and Elder Kelson) and the Zone Leaders (Elder Greenburg and Elder Lillywhite)! We decided to go on a hike! A member of the ward has a huge hill in his backyard, so we hiked up it! It was a lot of fun! And we found 2 rope swings! So we took turns swinging on them. It was a party! After hiking we went to the mall and walked around a little until we found a place to sit down and play games! We played mafia. Elder Greenburg was getting really into it! It was intense! But we all had fun together. We got lunch at the food court and then parted ways. Overall, it was a great p-day and I love my district, especially my companions! Thursday was a very exciting but sad day. We had district council and talked about how we can help David as he progresses along the covenant path. The...

Happy 2022, family and friends! It has been an absolutely amazing week here in the WVCM!  One of the biggest miracles that happened this week was setting a date for Baptism for Linda!!! It was absolutely amazing! Sister Hope, from the ward, came and bore a beautiful testimony on the power of baptism by priesthood authority! The Spirit was strong and I know Linda could feel it. Her date is set for February 1st! Everyone please please pray for her! We still need to teach her a few more lessons and she needs to keep the Word of Wisdom. We know that miracles happen and that through our efforts, her faith and the Lords help she can take this important step in her life! On Thursday we had exchanges! I stayed here in Barboursville and Sister Johansen came! She is absolutely wonderful! We did our studies and then had a wonderful talk. She gave me some amazing advice on training and helped me see how it will all be ok! We then went out to visit some of our friends and members in the wa...
