Family and friends, hello! It has been quite an exciting week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Sister Training Leaders and there were SO MANY MIRACLES! Wow!! I went to Ashland, Kentucky with Sister Walker. We began with doing some service at a clothes store. From there we drove to some recent referrals homes and knocked on their doors. We gave a Plan of Salvation pamphlet to one of them! The last one we tried to visit didn't live at the address listed so we knocked on some of the neighbors doors! We had a wonderful conversation with a lady who is friends with people who attend the Ashland ward! She accepted a Book of Mormon so hopefully something comes of it! This neighborhood was also right along the Ohio River! It was beautiful!! That evening we were calling a few other referrals and two of them who haven't been very responsive in the past answered! One said they weren't interested but the other set an appointment up! Later in the week Sister Walker told me the less...

Hello everyone! We had zone conference this week! It was on Tuesday at the Sissonville Chapel. It was a combined zone conference so the Charleston Zone was also there! We were taught so many wonderful and amazing things by President and Sister Newman, the Assistants, the Zone Leaders and the Sister Training Leaders! Something that really stood out to me was what the Assistants taught about. Elder Stucki and Elder Parker talked about faith. They told the story of Gideon's army in Judges 7. The 300 people who became his army were not the strongest, fastest, most skilled warriors. They were people who had faith that God would help them. The Assistants said that this is how we as missionaries for Jesus Christ need to be. We may not be the most knowledgeable about the scriptures, or have a perfect knowledge of this Gospel but we should have faith that God will help us. We need to be warriors of faith. We had an unexpected miracle on Wednesday! We had decided to go knock ...

Well, hello everyone! It has been such a wonderful week! So many miracles and blessings! But before we get there, I have some sad news. Does everyone remember Cory? After emailing about him last week, Sister George and I received a call from him. He said he wasn't interested and that he'd appreciate it if we didn't come by anymore. After we hung up Sister George and I were both so confused. We didn't understand why that had happened! We had followed the prompting from the Spirit and thought we would see some amazing blessing happen because of it. But, none of that did happen. I emailed my MTC comp, Sister Brady, and she said something that has really stuck with me this past week. She said, "Sometimes the Spirit prompts us to do things to see if we will obey." We may not know why we are asked to do something, we may not see the outcome, but we should still listen and obey when it is to do something good. My mom gave me the same advice that evening when I was ...

"Reverently and Meekly Now" - November 8, 2021

Hello, hello, family and friends! Last Monday, David messaged us and said he was in the hospital. We went over with Brother West, a member in the ward, and he gave David a blessing. Sister George and I were both hoping something spectacular would happen that would help him understand the Priesthood Power. But, alas, nothing changed. The Spirit was present but no lightning came, no floods happened. Sister George and I were kinda confused afterward. We talked about it on the way home and the Spirit whispered to both of us that things happen in the Lord's timing. David will understand when it is time for him to. Sister George and I have both been humbled this week. On Tuesday, we had either dropped or were dropped by most everyone we were teaching. We had ZERO people progressing and no one to teach. It was terrible. We had decided to stop teaching David for a little bit because of his health. Brother Custer called and told us Susan was in the hospital, so we couldn't really ...
