"Ordinary Miracle" - Alma 30:44 - November 21, 2022

 Family and friends, hello!

We met with Donald and Ashley this past Tuesday! Brother and Sister Cox were able to join us! We taught them about the Word of Wisdom. It was wonderful because they already are mostly keeping it!!! Please continue to keep them in your prayers!

We had another super good lesson with Jordan and Sebastian, her husband! We taught them the Restoration lesson! They accepted copies of the Book of Mormon and said they would read! They wanted to look into it a little more before setting up a return appointment but we are excited for them. I know that this is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ in the Latter-Days. We do have a living Prophet who leads and guides us! It's a wonderful miracle.

Wednesday was a busy day! We left our apartment at 8 am and drove 2 1/2 hours to Charleston for MLC! It was so wonderful! We had a great discussion with President and Sister Lindahl and the rest of the mission leadership. Great things are happening here in the WVCM! We had a delicious lunch and then drove back 2 1/2 hours to Fairmont! That evening we helped with the ward Thanksgiving baskets! Ashley and her two daughters came!! She got to know more of the ward members!

On Thursday we had some great member lessons! We met with Sister Etzi! She was struggling a lot a couple weeks ago but as she has continued studying her scriptures, praying and coming to church it has been amazing to see the blessings she has received!! I know that as we do the small things each and everyday the Lord will bless us, more abundantly than we could imagine!

Our Friday was crazy! We found out Thursday night that we had interviews with President Lindahl in Clarksburg the next morning! We drove there and ended up having district council in Clarksburg, too! I'm so very grateful for President and Sister Lindahl. They radiate the love of Christ! After interviews and district council we drove back to Fairmont to quickly have lunch with a sweet couple from our ward! They are the best!! We then rushed to Morgantown to have exchanges with the Sisters there! I was with Sister Garrison! She is so amazing!!! We had a fun time driving and walking through a big blizzard! Oh, yes, it also snowed on Friday!! It has since melted but it sure was beautiful!!

Saturday was cool. We were invited to help at a Baptist church service project! We made sleeping mat for the homeless out of used grocery bags! It was so much fun! We met a lot of nice people! Later that day we had a lesson with our friend Bill! Brother and Sister Cox joined us! We taught him the rest of the Plan of Salvation and Brother Cox gave a brief overview of the Gospel of Jesus Christ lesson. He is cool. We invited Bill to be baptized but he wants to start attending church and doing other things first. Please pray for him!

It has gotten very cold here!!! But that's alright, winter has to come at some point in time! It's just another ordinary miracle that happens!

Song of the Week: "Ordinary Miracle" by Sarah McLaughlin. I love this song! Each and every day there are little miracles happening. Missionary work is full of them. A couple ordinary miracles from this week were traveling safely in the snow, laughing with Sister Livingston, having interviews with President Lindahl, staying warm while knocking, having a friend give us water while knocking and so many more!! I love the scripture Alma 30:44. Everything truly does denote there is a God and that He lives and loves us! Snowflakes, changing seasons, our distance from the sun, it all denotes there is a God above. He makes ordinary miracles possible. What are some of your ordinary miracles?

I hope you all have an ordinary miracle filled week! Talk to y'all next Monday!

Love,
 Sister Sariah Francis
